Notice is hereby given to all registered pharmacists that a poll for the election of eight (8) members of the Pharmacy Council of Mauritius, comprising of three (3) members from the public sector and five (5) members from the private sector, will be conducted by the Office of the Electoral Commissioner on Saturday the thirty-first (31st) day of May, 2025 between the hours of 9.00 am to 3.30 pm at Sir Abdool Raman Osman State College, Phoenix. And that the candidates are as follows:
(Section A – Public Sector) (Three candidates to be elected)

of which all persons are hereby required to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
DIRECTIONS TO VOTERS
1. Each elector should produce his/her National Identity Card/Passport or Pharmacist Identity Card when applying for a ballot paper.
2. Each elector will be issued with a ballot paper comprising of two sections, namely:-
SECTION A: Candidates from the Public Sector; and
SECTION B: Candidates from the Private Sector.
3. Each elector shall vote for eight (8) candidates, namely:
(i) three (3) candidates in SECTION A (Public Sector);
and
(ii) five (5) candidates in SECTION B (Private Sector)
by putting a cross (X) opposite the name of each candidate of his/her choice.
4. If an elector votes for more than three (3) or less than three (3) candidates in SECTION A and for more than five (5) or less than five (5) candidates in SECTION B or places any mark or writing on the ballot paper by which he/she could afterwards be identified, his/her votes will be void and will not be counted.
5. If an elector inadvertently spoils a ballot paper, he/she may return it to the Presiding Officer, who, on being satisfied of the fact, will issue him/her with another one.
